As with any startup company, you worry about the day when the work dries up. Holland Preconstruction was set up to offer a flexible solution to companies, meaning irregular working hours and sometimes short contracts. It was a risk. So, I never worried about the day I had too much work, and maybe I should have!
New companies had been approaching me on a weekly basis, with new challenges and requests about what I could offer them. It was exciting and inspiring, but my days and nights were filling up fast. I knew that turning work away risked losing it and running the risk of losing it; I needed a solution. As luck would have it, I had come across April whilst I was researching remote working. I got in touch and within a couple of days we were sat in a co-working coffee house in central Saigon working out a completely bespoke way of working.
She completely understood my business, and the industry, and her attention to detail is some of the best I have seen. What she was offering complimented the packages that I had been offering, and we spent a little time strategising how to combine our expertise to work collaboratively and remotely. Since then, we have been continually refining the way we do things at Holland Preconstruction to become even more precise and efficient.
That chance meeting completely changed the direction of Holland Preconstruction- I wonder where we will be this time next year. Welcome to the team, April!
